Coronavirus (COVID 19) a disease from which the whole world is suffering right now. The first case of the Corona Virus was reported in China in DEC 2019. It slowly spread all over the world. There have been about 475896 deaths from coronavirus around the world with an increase in numbers on a daily basis. Many people are still fighting with this disease. The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 213 countries around the world.

Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after infected from the virus. People with common symptoms and better health can be cured at home. People with serious symptoms should be treated in the hospital.
This takes around 10-15 days for a patient to be cured.
Precautions to prevent the disease:
- Wash hands for 20 sec again and again
- Wear masks
- Cover nose and mouth while sneezing
- Use sanitizer
- Avoid going to crowded places
- Stay at home
- Avoid going to sick people
When a disease is new there is no vaccine for it. It takes time to develop a vaccine. Right now there is no vaccine for coronavirus doctors are working day and night for it to be developed. In efforts to save lives, researches are working on new drugs and vaccines to find a cure for COVID 19.
Treatment from Plasma:
Researchers are now exploring the use of Plasma from people recovered from COVID-19 in order to treat other patients who are suffering from COVID-19. The patients who have recovered from COVID-19 have antibodies who can fight against COVID-19. In this process, researchers collect Plasma from the people who have recovered from the SARS-CoV-2infection through a procedure in which plasma is separated from the blood. This plasma is then transfused to patients with severe conditions. The experience for the patient is like blood donation. Agha Khan University is taking all the safety precautions.
Patients recovered from Plasma Therapy:
In Pakistan, The Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) confirmed that the infected lawyer who was severely ill was recovered from plasma therapy. He was the first patient recovered from plasma therapy.12 out of 14 patients having severe conditions were treated with plasma therapy. Overall 86% of patients were recovered. Out of 12 patients, 6 were discharged home on the ninth day of receiving plasma.
According to Shamsi, the therapy was used to cure patients of diseases like SARS, Ebola, and influenza in the recent past.
